III Sisters Of Nature

There have been many claims to having duped some of the more popular natural hair care lines. I came across this post on NC and decided to do a little research. I found a few reviews as well as two online supply stores that sell the products. I walked into a beauty supply store about a month ago and saw the Once a week nourishing treatment but none of the other products so I took the plunge and ordered online from a instate BSS. My items arrived in one day with a few samples.  I purchased the Curling Gelo to compare to Kinky-Curly and the Stretch it out Creme to compare to Miss Jessie's Stretch Silkening Creme. There also is a Curly Whip Pudding  and a Sweet bounce Back.

Two things that are weird, they don't have a front online store yet , just Facebook and they are promoting using products within the line that aren't listed anywhere yet.

Samples for Giveaway

The Curling Gelo was $9.59 for 8ozs. It states superior moisturizer , defines  and elongates curls, enhances waves, super soft hold and brilliant shine Its clear like Kinky Curly but its not as gummy. It is a gelly like substance that smells super sweet. It smells like jolly rancher, which is good to me lol.

Ingredients are water, glycerin, polyquaterinum 37,polyquaterinum 10 and PEG 14, polyquaterinum 7,polysorbate 20, sea grape extract, argan oil, avocado extract, oat extract, sage, chamomile extract, bay laurel extract, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol and fragrance

The  Stretch it out Creme was $12.59 for 8ozs. It states Elongates curls and waves, maximum volume, natural shine. Its a slight yellowish tinge with a lighter sweet smell than the Curling Gelo.

Ingredients are water, soybean oil , avocado oil, oat extract, glycerol, almond oil, polyquaterinum7,polyquaterinum 32, shea butter, nettle leaf, cetrimonium chloride, glyoxyoyl, carbocysteine, glyoxyloyl, keratin amino acdis, methylchlroisothiazolinone, methlsolthiazolinone, fragrance

I'm giving away the 4 samples that came with my order. Two Curling Gelos and Two Once a Week Nourishing Treatments.

Please reply below about your feelings towards companies that come out solely to give these bigger companies a run for their money,.

I'm all for competition and being able to get my natural hair care products on the cheap. But this product line still has chemicals in it, which makes their claims misleading.

Usually every product has some type of chemical in it,unless its 100% organic and all natural. which ingredient are you referring too?

Hi,

Yeah, I got the feeling from the Facebook page that they were touting themselves as 100% natural. That's why I was a little disappointed to scroll down the ingredient list here and see that.
Phenoxyethanol is a chemical (but in fairness to this company, it's an ingredient in some of Kinky Curly's products as well.) Methylchlorisothiazolinone is also a restricted cosmetic ingredient here in Canada due to it being an irritant.

Ah, ok. I see what you mean

I read all of your comments and wanted to respond as well... I tried III Sisters for all of your Natural Hair Care Needs!!! It is a superior product for natural hair at a lesser price...Period. I just recently cut my locs off having them for 7 years, I was using Jamaican Mango & Lime Products and They worked for me. I was looking for another brand and came across this Brand III Sisters Of Nature and I fell in LOVE at the Hair Show this February, I had to buy the whole line. What sold me was NO Alcohol, Waxes, Silicones, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Formaldehyde, Carbomer,GIMMICKS AND NO HYPE... ALL I DID WAS JUST STYLE MY HAIR AND I SAVED A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS UNTIL THE WORLD NATURAL HAIR.
I use the Sweet Bounce Back in pink jar, Curly Whip Pudding in the purple jar, and the Once a Week Nourishing Treatment every week (Brown Jar) I am satasified with the product and hope they include a Shampoo and Conditioner soon.. and I will definitely switch over my main Shampoo and Conditioner to use the whole line. Thanks for covering this product. 3 Sisters Of Nature Hair Care Products are for all women & Children with Curly, Wavy, Kinky, and Natural Hair. I a huge Fan for Natural Maintenance and Styling.

I came across the stretch it out creme at local beauty supply store..it was right next to Miss Jessie's and decided to give it a try. So far the results have been good! I don't like spending vast amounts of money on hair care products and unfortunately, many of the products targeted towards black hair are over priced. I can get the same results my mixing up my own concoctions for a fraction of the price but I'd definitely purchase the stretch it out creme again. Thanks for your review.

I just recently used the Gelo, ans I love how my hair is still hydrated and soft. I'm a natural lady on a budget and this fits right in. I just wish I knew where to find the rest of the products. If you're from indana as I, I found the Gelo at my local Kroger

I just purchased the natural curling gelo from my local beauty supply store for 7.99. I was very satisfied to find out that when using this product on my hair, my curls are very moisturized! The smell makes it even more enticing and leaves your hair smelling good. I thought I would never find the right product for my hair not to mention the cost is in my budget. I will be going back to get the remaining products they had from this product line. Being natural over 10 years and having my second big chop on may of 2011, I can finally say that my curls have found their match:-)
