B.A.S.K Beauty Summer Recipes

B.A.S.K Beauty has brought some very nice  and simple recipes that you can make at home yourself to try out this spring/summer. Head over to the main website , click on blog and check out a few.  Here is one to start you off.

Grits are not only defined as one of the true Southern-heritage comfort foods that many enjoy to eat - they also make for a very effective foot scrub!  Add the right amount of stone-ground, organic grits to brown sugar, rich honey, & sweet almond oil to get the exfoliating power needed to slough away tough, dead skin from the soles of your feet!
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Stone-ground Grits
  • 1/4 Cup Clover Honey
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
  • 3-5 Drops Lemon Juice
  • 1-2 Drops of "feet-loving" Essential Oils of choice (e.g. Peppermint, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, or Lemon)
Blend all ingredients together with a regular spoon (you can use a mixer for a smoother blend, but it's not necessary). Apply generously to your feet & use circular motion to slough away at the tough areas. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow up with our moisturizing Mint Marshmallow-scented CONDENSED CUSTARD THICK CREAM & seal in moisture with yummy Peppermint TRUFFLE BUTTER BAR BODY BALM. Dawn on a pair of cotton socks & enjoy the softness!
If you don't have stone-ground grits - use quick-cooking / instant grits or cornmeal.
If you don't have sweet almond oil - use any liquid, natural oil such as soybean, walnut, or grape-seed.
If you don't have clover honey - use any kind of natural or raw honey.  For vegans, substitute with agave or coconut nectar!
