Laquita Bobeam Giveaway-Closed

Ok so I was minding my business on NaturallyCurly and as usual, yes I'm blaming her, NEA reviewed some of Bobeams poo bars so I immediately placed an order.  Lord lord lord. This woman has got a gold mine right here. I ordered the Honey and Oats, Shea-loe , and her Shea moisturizer. The first bar I used was the Honey and Oats.  The bubbles hit my hair immediately, the bar slide down my hair strands, the soap action was amazing but the softness and cleaning skills are on par.

I mean these are some OUTSTANDING poo bars. I'm telling you, I'm stocking up,  I even used it on my heat damaged friends hair. It made her hair soooooooo soft.I didn't have to use an ACV after or anything.  I went straight to conditioning.
 Sudsy

I am impressed and when that happens I will tell the world. I hope she continues to grow in blessings and business because she really has something right here.  Her customer service isn't anything to snub either.  She was kind enough to throw in samples and incense.  I love incense, makes me feel all soft and cuddly inside...
Marinating

Rinsed

Shea Butter aka Gray butter

I love products with Shea butter in them.  Shea butter is just the bomb.com for me, however if its not a well formulated product or its too high on the ingredient list, it will not absorb into my hair.  I get the best absorption if I use it on wet/damp hair but if it use it on dry hair , after sitting for awhile you can see the gray cast to my hairs appearance.

I  roller-skate a lot so I usually  do my hair days prior to going , well last Friday, I wanted to wear a twist-out , so I used some of Born Organics Shea-aloe.  LOL, lord I saw a picture of my hair as I was skating and all I could do is chuckle. The product along with sweat and camera flash illuminated all that product so darn easy.

I cant grasp the Braidout

I've been trying and trying for awhile now but braid-outs never turned out the way I want them to.  I think maybe I need to adjust my products with something that has some hold to it. Everything I use is geared for moisture so by the time I take the braids out my hair has poofed out  and the definition is gone.  I'm going to work on them this fall and winter.

Last night I mixed  Oyins Whipped Pudding with a little Shine and Define in the palm of my hand, then applied it to my dried hair. After that I braided with Qhemet Biologics Twisting Butter. The shine is nice but it looks as if my hair is spreading already this morning.

anyone with tips, I would appreciate it!

The best SheaMoisture hair masque: Purification Hair Masque

Now I've tried all of the other masques released by SheaMoisture and while I liked them, none of them have tickled my fancy until now. This stuff is amazing. It has a nice slip , dissolves into hair, and softens my hair as a prepoo. I can only imagine how it will work as a deep conditioner. I think the kicker is CLAY, its too early in the game but this dare I say knock Darcy Botanicals out the box for me

Deionized Water , Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut) , Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) , Mangfera Indica Seed Butter (Mango) , Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado) , African Black Soap Extract , Sea Salt , Cetyl Esters , Kaolin Clay , Grapeseed Oil , Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jojoba) , Behentrimonium Chloride (Conditioner) , Salicylic Acid , Salix Alba Bark Extract (Willow) , Melia Azadirachta Seed Oil (Neem) , Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil (Tea Tree) , Sorbitol Esters , Aloe Vera Leaf Juice , Tocopherol (Vitamin E) , Rosemary Extract , Salvia Officinalis Extract (Sage) , Plantain Extract , Lonicera Caprifolium Flower and Lonicera Japonica Flower Extract (Honeysuckle and Japanese Honeysuckle)

Naturalgirlsrock Deep SOULutions Deep Conditioner

Super excited to try this with my steamer. I also was randomly upgraded to a 12oz size when I ordered the 8oz, now that is some wonderful customer service. They even threw in some conditioning caps. Woot woot!

Born Organics take 1

SheaMoisture Purification Prepoo front
SheaMoisture Purification Prepoo back
Prepoo'n
Njoi Creations ACV Shampoo bar
 Wet and Soapy, lathers nice
 ACV Shampoo Bar
 Great conditioner
I was in such a rush to try my new items plus the late hour that my hair isn't fully dry this morning. I wanted to do a twistout so I did medium twists. This morning I say under the dryer a little but nope my hair started to poof because it was still damp. I winded up pulling it up and will try again tonight. The problem I have with heavily laden Shea butter products is if I don't allow the product to full dry into my hair , it will leave a gray cast that  makes it look dry and dull. That is what happened last night, so I pulled  it back up for the today. I will try it again tonight.

I prepoo'd with SheaMoisture Purification mask, shampoo'd with Njoi Creations Apple Cider Vinegar poo bar, conditioned with Curl Junkie Daily smoothing conditioner, leave in of Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion and then twisted with Born Organics PHAM

Great find at the dollar store

This is a wonderful find, it removes nail polish while adding a slight moisture to the cuticle and nails. The smell is subtle and not overpowering at all

SheaMoisture: Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Souffle

Ok every since I read that Sheamoisture was bringing a gel to the game I've been intrigued. I finally was able to scoop the last jar up at my local Walgreen three days ago.  I was so excited that I used it the first night on already conditioned hair. I used it to put twists in my bangs and to slick back my ponytail.  I added Karen's Body Beautiful Hair milk first to moisturize and then the gel to seal/twist with. As everyone else has reported this stuff is very oily and sticky, which I think is due to the flax seed oil and agave nectar.. I couldn't see me using this on a WnG but more so for protective styles or out styles such as twist outs , braid outs, etc.  I think this should be in a bottle as well because it was hard to scoop some out without it slipping thru my fingers and falling out. The scent is just like the C&H line but a little more concentrated. It took 2 days before it fully absorbed into my hair but honey chile' when it did, do you want to talk about PLUSH??? I was amazed and I have to say this will not  be used as a true gel would be but a LEAVE IN conditioner.  It is that moisturizing.

So of course I had to test out my theory which resulted in what I thought would happen, I used it under some hard gel for a WnG but made the mistake of using too much of the product.  I had to slick my hair back into two ponytails because it just felt weird, too damp but also kind of sticky. I applied it after washing my hair so it felt really weird going onto my hair when it was wet. Today my hair feels wonderful but since I applied too much per section the ends of my hair are sticky.   I can say though this might be a staple in the winter in regards to using it as a leave in.  I love how supple and silky my hair feels under this gel. It also has a high sheen to it. You just have to use it sparingly.

For a true WnG I give this a thumbs down but for a leave in conditioner I would raise all my hands plus yours!!

I paid $10.99

Here are the ingredients:

Aqueous infusion of Agave teqilana leaf extract and sugar cane extract, pectin, vegetable glycerin, baobab extract, coconut oil, Shea butter, panthenol, aloe leaf extract, tocopherol (vit E), flaxseed extract, hibiscus extract, potassium sorbate, proprietary essential oil blend
