Making Black Soap!

I was looking at Liyahs blog entry about making black soap and its so cool how she detailed her steps.  I make my own liquid black soap as well , the only thing I do not do is liquefy it with hot water.  I find that taking pure aloe vera and leaving the black soap overnight will melt it down just as well.

I use African black soap, aloe Vera , aloe Vera gel , honey, Rosemary essential oil, grapefruit oil, ylang ylang essential oil, chamomile, lavender and burdock root herbal infusion, and fragrance.  In that exact order.

I take about a 1/4 of Black soap purchased from Agbanga Karite , pour 8 ounces of Georges Always Active 100% Aloe Vera over it and let it sit 24 hours, after that I add in my additional ingredients and bottle it up.  You can add whatever you desire to black soap .

Do you have a black soap recipe, please share?

I'm going to have to try adding aloe vera to the soap! I had no idea you could do that. Do you have to refrigerate it? I bet it moisturizes the heck out of your hair and skin I need to try this.

It keeps longer in the fridge but you dont have to ,especially if you add in aloe vera that has a preservative
