To loc or not to loc

In my natural journey I have always wanted sisterlocs, always!!! Growing up in Jamaica I have seen and have Rastafarian's all over so traditionally locs are something that I can't commit to because its not a fad in my eyes and I'm not a rasta, plus my family would flip a lid if I did and didnt have 'their" mindset. So I can have the best of both worlds. Locs small enough to style anyway I want and still be locs in my own way.

However I'm in such a love affair with my loose hair , I don't want to jump the gun and get sisterlocs and then 3 months down the drain chop them off because the take down from sisterlocs is crazy. Heck even the cost is enough to not take them down. I was quoted anywhere from $900-1500 for my length. This was early 2008. I have a coworker that has sisterlocs and she goes to the consultant that I reached out to for information. Her sisterlocs are so beautiful so every morning I stare at hers.

I'm just waiting for the moment to hit when I either realize, I'm tired of detangling and twisting, and parting or when it just feels right.

we are so similar...
see, for me doing my loose hair is always a joy...I loove detangling, applying product, twists, etc...

yet i also loove locs
so I don't know....
we're in the same boat..
this is my last chance to find out if locs are for me...

It will never be your last time, if it doesnt come now believe me it will come later. I told myself to stop stressing and just walk down the journey instead of running!!

"walking instead of running"
I like that!

I have to keep remembering that....I sometimes get so impatient!
